VaultQuick Privacy Policy
This policy describes how the VaultQuick app (Android, com.pesstudios.vaultquick) by PeS studios (“we”) handles user data. Contact: info@pesstudios.com.
Summary
The app requires no registration, contains no ads or analytics and does not collect or send any personal data to us or anyone else. Everything the app reads and writes stays on your device.
Files in your vault
VaultQuick works with a notes folder (an Obsidian vault) that you choose. To write new tasks and notes and to read tasks, anniversaries and daily notes for widgets and reminders, it needs the All files access permission. The app only reads and changes files in that vault and does not send their content anywhere. You manage syncing of the vault (e.g. Syncthing or Obsidian Sync) yourself, outside the app.
Contacts
If you turn on the “name days / birthdays from contacts” source in settings, the app asks for the contacts permission. It reads contact names, birthdays and labels only on your device to show them in the anniversary widget and reminders. It does not store contacts elsewhere or send them anywhere. You can revoke the permission at any time in Android settings.
Microphone
The microphone is used only when you tap the dictation button 🎤. Speech is converted to text by the Android speech recognition service (depending on your phone settings it may run on the device or at Google). The app does not store or send audio – it only receives the resulting text.
Notifications and alarms
Task reminders, the morning summary and the evening review are scheduled and shown only on the device.
Voluntary purchases (“Coffee for the author”)
The app offers voluntary in-app purchases (small coffee, big coffee, coffee and cake) to support the authors. Payments are processed exclusively by Google Play. The app only learns from Google Play whether a purchase succeeded; we have no access to payment details. Payment processing is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What the app stores on the device
- settings (vault path, capture presets, widget appearance, reminders, language),
- unfinished text in the capture window until you save it,
- a helper cache of tasks for faster loading.
This data is not backed up to the cloud and is deleted from the device when you uninstall the app. The files in your vault remain.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date.
